Source: BERC residential tariff, June 2026 billing month onwards. The same residential (LT-A) tariff applies to BPDB, DPDC, DESCO, NESCO, WZPDCL and Palli Bidyut customers. Steps are cumulative: only the units inside each step are charged at that step’s price. Check your bill for meter rent or rebates.

How it is calculated

Energy charge = units in each step × that step’s price (first 75 units, 76–200, 201–300, 301–400, 401–600, above 600). If you use 50 units or less, every unit is charged at the lifeline rate. Bill = energy charge + demand charge (sanctioned load in kW × Tk per kW) + 5% VAT on both.

Results are estimates for planning, not bills. Your utility’s bill is final. For generator hookups use a changeover switch installed by an electrician.
