What we collect

When you submit a power cut report we store the post code, optional post office name, report type (power cut / restored), an optional short note and the time. To prevent spam we store a one-way hash derived from your IP address and browser; we do not store the raw IP address alongside reports.

Location

If you use “Use my location”, your browser shares approximate coordinates only to find the nearest post code. Coordinates are not stored.

Phone numbers and email

If you add your mobile number to a comment or subscribe to email alerts, we store it privately and use it only for power cut updates for your area, with your consent. It is never shown on the website or sold. To have it deleted, contact us.
