How it is calculated

Average draw ≈ tonnage × 1.15 kW (non-inverter) or × 0.75 kW (inverter), adjusted for the thermostat setting. The extra bill is the difference between your bill with and without the AC units, so higher tariff steps are included.

Results are estimates for planning, not bills. Your utility’s bill is final. For generator hookups use a changeover switch installed by an electrician.
